Veteran Home Care Assistance Program For Veterans And Their Surviving Spouses
Adaptable Home Care is offering an assistance program for Veterans and surviving spouses of veterans. 1 in 3 seniors is a veteran or surviving spouse of a veteran who may qualify for Aid & Attendance through the Veterans Administration. This program can assist any veteran or surviving spouse of a veteran in obtaining up to $23,338* per year to pay toward our non-medical home care services.
 
*These dollar amounts reflect 2009 rates for a qualifying veteran with a spouse.

After approved you can use the money for non-medical home care services such as:
  • Bathing
  • Dressing
  • Getting out of Bed
  • Meal Preparation
  • Laundry
  • Light Housekeeping
  • Shopping
  • Assistance getting to Physician Visits
  • And More
 

Veteran Benefits & Eligibility

Financial benefits are available through the Veterans Administration for veterans or their surviving spouses for non-service connected disabilities.  You or your loved one may be eligible if you:
  • Are a veteran or the surviving spouse of a veteran who has served 90 days or more on active duty with one day beginning or ending during a period of war.  
  • Have a non-service medical related condition.
  • Meet income and asset requirements.
